Discover the new free open call TRAVEL. An atlas of stories, spaces and faces

10 December 2025

Exhibit Around APS and dotART, organisers of the international festival Trieste Photo Days, are proud to present the new free open call TRAVEL. An atlas of stories, spaces and faces, a visual celebration of contemporary travel photography. From cities to deserts, from complex urban environments to natural landscapes, photographers are invited to explore the extraordinary diversity of our planet.

TRAVEL is an invitation to go beyond borders, be surprised by places, people, and cultures, and capture the richness of the world through your lens. Travel becomes experience, encounter, and transformation.

The project will culminate in an international exhibition and the publication of a photography book, which will be presented during the 13th edition of Trieste Photo Days 2026, one of Europe’s leading photography festivals.

The award for the best author will take place on the festival stage, in the presence of some of the most renowned names in photography. Over the years, Exhibit Around’s open calls have involved internationally acclaimed photographers such as Martin Parr, Alex Webb, Nino Migliori, Susan Meiselas, Paolo Verzone, Jérôme Sessini, Kadir van Lohuizen, Adam Pretty, Dario De Dominicis, and many others.

TRAVEL continues the success of Exhibit Around’s tribute projects, engaging hundreds of photographers from all five continents each year. Previous projects have involved internationally acclaimed authors:

  • 2019: Short Street Stories with Martin Parr (Magnum Photos)
  • 2020: Chromantic with Alex Webb (Magnum Photos)
