INDIA Open Call: Announcing the Shortlisted Authors

29 May 2025

The “INDIA” Call, organized in collaboration with the Museum of Oriental Art and the Phototeque of the Civic Museums of History and Art of Trieste, is about to reach its decisive phase!

We are thrilled to announce that the jury, composed of Claudia Colecchia (head of the Phototeque and Library of the Civic Museums of History and Art of the Municipality of Trieste) and Francesca Avignone (Conservation Officer at the Civic Museum of Oriental Art of the Municipality of Trieste), has completed the first, careful selection, identifying the photographers who, with their portfolios, have managed to capture the complex soul and the thousand facets of this fascinating country.

Anticipation is now palpable for these authors. Among the selected portfolios, the winner will soon be chosen, whose photographs will have the prestige of being featured in an exclusive solo exhibition at the Museum of Oriental Art. The production of the exhibition will be entirely curated by Exhibit Around APS. This unmissable exhibition will be held during the 12th edition of Trieste Photo Days 2025, offering the public an unforgettable visual journey through India.

The winner’s recognition will not be limited to the solo exhibition. Furthermore, numerous other prizes are in store, along with Honorable Mentions and Special Awards for those who have distinguished themselves with contributions of exceptional value.

We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants for the passion, commitment, and extraordinary quality of the submitted works!

Stay connected to discover which perspectives have captured the deepest essence of India in this extraordinary photographic project!
