Winners of the “INDIA” Photography Call Announced

We are excited to reveal the results of the “INDIA” photography contest, which invited participants to explore and capture the vibrant soul of India through their lenses.

Organized in collaboration with the Museum of Oriental Art and the Photographic Archive of the Civic Museums of History and Art of Trieste, the call received an extraordinary selection of 223 submitted portfolio, offering a rich and diverse overview.

The jury, composed of two highly qualified experts in the fields of photography and museum preservation, successfully completed the challenging task of selecting the winners.

A special thanks goes to Claudia Colecchia, Head of the Photographic Archive and Library of the Civic Museums of History and Art of the Municipality of Trieste, and to Francesca Avignone, Curator at the Civic Museum of Oriental Art of the Municipality of Trieste.

The winning portfolio

The following authors stood out for their unique vision and ability to tell powerful, in-depth stories.

The first-place portfolio will be featured in a solo exhibition held during the 12th edition of Trieste Photo Days 2025 at the Museum of Oriental Art in Trieste, where the images will be displayed in dialogue with selected archival materials from the Civic Museums’ Photographic Archive.

Sandro Antoniolli“Tutta la polvere dell’India” (All the Dust of India)

Awards:

  • Solo exhibition at the Museum of Oriental Art
  • Complimentary 2-night stay in Trieste to attend the opening event in person
  • Project presentation at the Museum of Oriental Art
  • Exclusive and certified artwork “STELE” by artist and sculptor Giorgio Celiberti
  • 25,000 PhotoPoints to be used within the dotLogic photography network
  • Inclusion in the official 2025 Festival catalog with an excerpt of the project
  • Digital certificate recognizing the award as Best Author
