A Journey Beyond the Visible

Exhibit Around APS and dotART, in collaboration with the Passage Arte Contemporanea gallery in Trieste, are thrilled to present the latest edition of Collectible Shots. The project was created to offer photographers a unique opportunity to introduce their work into the art market within a prestigious exhibition setting.

The 2026 edition, titled "A Journey Beyond the Visible," invites participants to move beyond the mere documentation of reality and embrace a more intimate, conceptual dimension. In this context, photography becomes a tool for introspection and imagination, where an inner journey guides visual exploration toward paths open to a multitude of interpretations.

At the heart of the project lies an International Open Call, which will identify the photographic project to be exhibited at the Passage Arte Contemporanea gallery during Trieste Photo Days 2026 (23–25 October).

The exhibition will create a dialogue between the winning work of the Open Call, the photographic project A/R Acqua e Ruggine by Giulia Natalia Comito (winner of the 2025 Portfolio Review), and the sculptures of Alessandra Spigai from her series Le Muse interiori.

Comito’s ethereal, suspended atmospheres will serve as the narrative thread for the entire showcase, transforming the concept of travel into a poetic and intimate story. Meanwhile, Alessandra Spigai’s sculptures will provide a direct contrast between photography and materiality, deepening the reflection on interiority and stimulating a diverse range of artistic perspectives.

Beyond the exhibition, Collectible Shots: A Journey Beyond the Visible will culminate in a photographic book featuring the winning project and the work of five Honourable Mentions. This publication reinforces the initiative’s value as a dedicated space for those who view photography as an authentic and elevated form of artistic expression.
