Cultura in Cantiere, or Culture Under Construction, is a project created by Exhibit Around APS with Edilimpianti Trieste S.r.l. Società Benefit to transform urban regeneration sites into spaces for cultural production. At its centre is a creative residency by documentary photographer Nicolas Brunetti, winner of the Patricia D. Richards Legacy Award at URBAN Photo Awards 2025 and selected by curator Denis Curti. Guided by photographer and mentor Stefano Mirabella, Brunetti works closely with technicians and workers to portray the construction site as a living place of people, skills, materials, and relationships. The project will culminate in an opening event and exhibition at L'Angolo di Rocco during Trieste Photo Days 2026, together with an open-air installation that turns scaffolding into temporary exhibition structures, a dedicated publication, and a programme of talks. It is supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region - Io Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia, in partnership with Edilimpianti Trieste S.r.l. Società Benefit, Associazione Stazione Rogers, and the cultural association dotART.
