Following departure to the photographic discovery of Muggia.
In addition to the beautiful seafront, Muggia has an evocative historic center, starting from Piazza Marconi with the Palazzo del Municipio, a 13th-century building, and the Duomo di Muggia, dedicated to Saints John and Paul.
From the center you can go up to the Muggia Castle, but also to the Muggia Vecchia hill, through the alleys up to the Muggia Vecchia Archaeological Park, from where it is possible to enjoy a suggestive panorama over the entire Gulf of Trieste.
Do not forget the Mandracchio: the small internal port of Muggia with its walls, boats and small fishing boats, and of course the Lungomare!

Other suggestions for photographers: the Beethovenian Museum (by reservation in via XXV Aprile), the Rosenfeld Sponge Factory (just before Muggia, in via dei Laghetti) the oldest European sponge factory still existing (by reservation), the shipyards. But also walks in the woods with the “muggesana crossing” that retraces old villages in ruins with sources, the Castelliere di Elleri, or the sandstone quarries.
