We made it halfway through the EA Cup journey, the exciting photographic tournament dedicated to Exhibit Around members. It is a single knock-out tournament, where the photos compete until the final podium rich in prizes. Exhibit Around members can freely access the photo competition by submitting a street photography-themed photo. But that’s not all: the members also compete as jurors, choosing the most deserving photos in each elimination round.
The tournament can therefore be won in two ways: in addition to the traditional podium with the best photos voted by the jury, perseverance in voting and photographic intuition in knowing how to choose the winning photo will also be rewarded. The participant who has accumulated the highest number of points by voting will win the “Best Voter” award.
We are publishing a preview of the votations made up to this point: below the best 16 photos, in alphabetical order.
Who will be the winning photographer of this first edition of the EA Cup? The best photos will be chosen and awarded live during the international festival of urban photography Trieste Photo Days. The event will take place in Trieste from 27 to 29 October 2023 and will host great international photographers such as Alec Soth, Jérôme Sessini, Kadir Van Lohuizen and Laura Zalenga, just to name a few. To stay updated on the festival, you can visit the dedicated website.
Below is the ranking of the “Best Voter” award. The points progressively increase with each round, making the final result truly unpredictable. A challenge until the last vote!
The goal of the EA Cup is to offer members who support Exhibit Around an opportunity to gain visibility highlighting their creative talent. The four photos that will reach the podium (first place, second place and the two semi-finalists) will be exhibited during the Trieste Photo Days festival that, being at its 10th edition, has now become a stage for international photography.
Among the various prizes up for grabs, an invitation to the Gala Dinner: a precious moment of sharing and knowledge between photographers, great authors and guests of the festival.
To be able to follow the challenge live, we have created a live bracket of the tournament. A ranking of all the photos in the competition, the photo battles in progress, and the scores obtained.
And may the best win!
