The editors of Exhibit Around carefully selected the shortlist of authors nominated for the “Objective: Company Town” project awards, identifying 33 outstanding finalists for the titles of Best Author and Honorable Mentions.
These finalists were chosen for their ability to offer unique interpretations and accounts of the company town phenomenon. Their works explore how these factory towns are mirrors of social change, cohabiting cultures, industrial history and architectural heritage, highlighting the social, economic and architectural impact on the land, people and cultures.
The works of the best selected photographers, along with those of the Best Author and Honorable Mentions, will be displayed in a series of exclusive exhibitions: at Trieste Airport in September and at Magazzino 26 during the International Photography Festival Trieste Photo Days 2024, where the awards event will also be held.

It is important to note that although all 33 authors achieved a great deal by making it to the finals, only a few will receive one of the 2 awards. The final rankings and awards will be announced in the coming weeks.
