Objective: Company Town

Join us to celebrate the historical and cultural events that led to the development and transformation of company towns around the world.
The cultural association Exhibit Around APS invites all photographers worldwide to participate in this new unique open call!

The project

“Objective: Company Towns” is the new open call on local and international company towns: a reflection on how these realities are mirrors of social changes, of coexisting cultures, of industrial history, and of the architectural heritage of places.
The photographic and editorial project will be presented at the 11th edition of the international photography festival Trieste Photo Days.

The theme

The open call aims to collect interpretations and testimonies from photographers all over the world on the phenomenon of company towns: through your eyes, we want to relive the events that led to their creation and transformation, and explore their social, economic, and architectural impact on the territory, peoples, and cultures. Join us on this exciting journey!

Who is it for?

Calling all photographers worldwide! Whether you have a single photo or an entire project/portfolio, we want to hear from you.
Selected photographers will have the chance to be featured in the photographic volume and to be part of a great photographic exhibition, all within the incredible framework of photography festival Trieste Photo Days, in the presence of important special guests and internationally renowned photographers.

The photos

Submitted photos must be able to explore the history of company towns and their social and cultural impact on the people who live or have lived there.
Each author will be able to address the theme through the photographic genre that best represents him: social reportage, documentary photography, urban architecture, street photography, portrait, creative photography, landscape, fine art, etc.
Join us on this exciting journey!
