Photography as an universal language

Our photo books are designed to break down language barriers and connect with readers from around the world through the universal language of photography. Each volume is crafted to be accessible and engaging. Meticulous curation and graphic design elevate every image, ensuring that each photographer’s work is celebrated and offering a visually stunning experience for all.

Preserving the artistic vision

A unique aspect of our self-publishing process is that all editorial and design work is handled internally by Exhibit Around. By keeping the entire process in-house and overseeing every stage of the project, from the open call to the finished book, our dedicated team ensures a final product that preserves the integrity and vision of each author. This approach allows us to maintain the artistic consistency of the project, avoiding the pitfalls of external design choices and ensuring that the books truly reflect the essence of the original contributions.

The Double City

The volume explores ‘twin cities,’ separate realities that share incredible similarities or places that were once united and later divided. It’s a photographic journey through diversity, in cities characterized by the coexistence of multiple cultures, ethnicities, and traditions, or that still bear visible traces of their political past in contrast with today’s reality. The Double City offers a global perspective on the challenges and features of the communities living in these cities or along a border. This volume, part of the GO! 2025 Nova Gorica – Gorizia European Capital of Culture initiative, captures the essence of these unique urban environments through evocative photography and storytelling.
