The photographs address climate change through a variety of approaches and visual languages. Some authors observe the transformation of coastal landscapes, plains, mountains and cities; others focus on the people who live in these places and on how the climate is changing their work and daily lives. Taken together, the images form a geography of climate change made up of places and situations far apart from one another, united by transformations already under way and by the effects of the gradual overshoot of the 1.5 °C threshold.

Overshoot will be on display at Sala Arturo Nathan, alongside the exhibitions by Mark Power and Christopher Morris, the festival’s international guests this year. The selected authors will also have their work published in the catalogue and will receive a Trieste Photo Days medal, to be collected in person in Trieste.

On Sunday 25 October, we look forward to welcoming you to Magazzino 26 for the talks by Power and Morris and a visit to the exhibition together with the selected authors.
