Thank you to all the photographers who “played” this call!

The new original project promoted by Exhibit Around PLAY! – Let the Game Begin!, has closed the submissions on May 6th 2024. PLAY! will be presented at the end of October 2024, during Trieste Photo Days, where the project’s guest Adam Pretty himself will be attending as super host of the festival.

We are delighted with the success of the call, to which as many over 700 authors from all over the world responded, submitting more than 3,000 single photos and over 150 projects and portfolios! A total of more than 5,000 photos dedicated to sports!

We sincerely thank all the photographers who have participated in the contest. We wish them all the best of luck in winning the awards as Best Authors, Honorable Mentions or Remarkable Rewards!

Considering the great quantity and the high quality of the photos, the project, which is now entering the phase of editorship and production, promises to be very rich and one of a kind. 

Soon we will announce the official list of selected authors who will “play” in the project, as well as the new original book cover. The photographic book will gather authors and artists from all over the globe for a vibrant an​​d visual celebration of Sports and Movement.

The prestigious book will be presented on Saturday October 26th 2024, during Trieste Photo Days – the festival where we make all our images come to life with dozens of exhibitions all over the city. 

An impressive collective exhibition will be dedicated to PLAY!, right in the heart of the city of Trieste. 

PLAY! – Let the game begin is our most ambitious project of the year, but don’t worry: there are more photo initiatives coming up. In anticipation of new open calls, we remind all photographers that entries are now open for the URBAN Photo Awards international contest, this year in its 15th year.
