Deadline 29th February 31st March 2024
PLAY! - Let the Game Begin!
Join us for a visual celebration of Sports and Movement in our upcoming photographic project PLAY! - Let the game begin! Presented by dotART and Exhibit Around APS associations, promoters of the Trieste Photo Days international photo festival, we invite photographers from all over the world to participate in this exciting Open Call.
The project
Sport embodies movement, and movement is life. Engaging in sports - be it physical or mental activity - elevates our endorphin levels, bringing joy, contentment, and enthusiasm.
It connects us all, making us feel truly alive.
We are thrilled to unveil a new photographic and editorial project that pays homage to the vibrant world of sports.
The project will be showcased at the 11th edition of the International Festival of Photography Trieste Photo Days.
The theme
From the thrill of watching a game to the joy of playing chess with our children, from the Olympics to dog agility. Whether it's football ultras or ballet dancers, street workouts, luxury yoga retreats or kids’ school tournaments, we want you to capture it all! Our goal is to freeze moments of fun and hard work, celebration and dedication, sweat, muscles, tears of joy and despair, either on the field, on the street, or at home. Whether it's a professional event or leisurely time, we're eager to see your perspective.
Who is it for?
Calling all photographers worldwide! Whether you have a single photo or an entire photographic project or portfolio dedicated to sports and movement, we want to hear from you.
Selected photographers will not only become part of a great photographic exhibition inside the international environment of the photography festival Trieste Photo Days, but also have the chance to be featured in a photographic volume.
The photos
Each photographer is encouraged to interpret the theme through their preferred photographic genre - be it street photography, portraiture, social reportage, documentary photography, or fine art.
The key is to explore the relationship between humans and sport, the influence that sport has on society and all those typical aspects that make this world so unique.
Ready to capture the essence of PLAY! and share your unique perspective on the world of sports and movement? Join us on this exciting journey!
