Wow: Worlds Of Women

A little over a month from International Women's Day, the dotART cultural association, promoter of the Trieste Photo Days international festival, is launching an open call via the Exhibit Around platform for the new WOW: Worlds of Women project.

The project

WOW will be presented in the international setting of the Trieste Photo Days festival in the presence of Susan Meiselas , an American documentary filmmaker and one of the most influential photographers in the world. For the occasion, conferences and meetings dedicated to the themes of the project will be organised. The best photos will then be included in the new photographic book together with those of Susan Meiselas and exhibited in two group exhibitions .

Who is it for?

To photographers from all over the world interested in submitting single photos , but also projects and portfolios , focused on women and the female universe.
The participating photographers will have the opportunity to become part of an important project presented during the Trieste Photo Days international festival.

The theme

The ambition is to create a project with a heterogeneous style that puts women at the center and highlights the female figure . The aim is to
highlight motherhood , gender disparity , social struggles , non - conforming femininity , work , culture and art .

The photos

Each author will be able to address the theme through the photographic genre he feels closest to: portrait, street photography, social reportage, documentary photography, fashion photography or fine-art.
The photographic works must be able to cast an original look at the lives of women in the four corners of the world.
