Exhibit Around APS and dotART Cultural Association launch a new photographic Open Call to celebrate street photography.
The project
Tales of the Unwritten is a unique opportunity for all photographers who wish to be part of an important photographic volume and an international exhibition together with the best street photography collectives in the world: iN-PUBLIC , VoidTokyo , Women Street Photographers , BULB Photos , Unposed , Observe Collective .
Who is it for?
To photographers from all over the world who are interested in submitting single photos , but also projects and portfolios .
The participating photographers will have the opportunity to become part of the project that will be presented during the international photography festival Trieste Photo Days 2021 in the presence of the main authors of the project: Nick Turpin , Tatsuo Suzuki , Gulnara Samoilova and many others.
The theme
The Open Call is all about street photography . The candidate photos must be able to capture visual instants in color or black and white that reveal new aspects of society, real life stories, hidden corners of urban spaces, contrasts and contradictions of the time, celebrations of beauty or chronicles of urban decay .
The photos
Each author is free to infuse the works with his own stylistic code, as well as to choose the type of photography that is most congenial to him. For this Open Call we prefer street photography , fine art and architectural photography , but in general we like to support quality photography.
Tales of the Unwritten follows the success of Exhibit Around's latest projects , which involved hundreds of photographers from five continents. After the tribute to Martin Parr in Short Street Stories (2019) and the tribute to Alex Webb with Chromantic (2020), in 2021 we will pay homage to an entire photographic genre, street photography!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
The call is open to all and registration is free. To submit photos, simply register or access the Exhibit Around user area , select the call Tales of the Unwritten and follow the procedure for Single Photos and/or Projects/Portfolios .
We will select the works that will be part of the prestigious collective exhibition and the dedicated photographic book . A selection of photos and/or projects will become part of the festival catalogue .
Prizes
Following a precise curatorship, Exhibit Around APS the Best Photography of the project and the Honorable Mentions .
Both the best author and the honorable mentions will be invited as guests of honor to the photographers' dinner within the Trieste Photo Days.

Where and when will my photos be on display?
The best photos will be exhibited in an international collective exhibition at the end of October 2021 which will be divided between different venues: as part of Trieste Photo Days at the Sala Veruda , a stone's throw from Piazza Unità and as part of the Photo Days Tour a venue between Palazzo Meizlik (Aquileia), Museum of the Territory (Cormòns), Longobard Temple / UNESCO site (Cividale del Friuli) and other locations to be defined
Is participation free?
Participation in the Open Call is free.
Exhibit Around is a social promotion association, therefore it is not for profit. By March 2021 and they will receive a proposal for publication and an expense contribution to become part of the project and the Exhibit Around circuit.
What technical characteristics must the photos have?
A candidate photo will be selected as the cover. Authors wishing to submit their photo explicitly for the cover should add the word "cover" to the name of the uploaded file.
Photos must not contain signatures, watermarks, watermarks or frames. Images must be in '.jpg' format and the color mode must be RGB. The size of the single file must be less than 9 MB while the dimensions required for the photos are:
- minimum 2000px short side
- maximum 6000px long side
The file name must not contain special characters but only letters and/or numbers.
Who does the rights to the candidate photos go to?
Each photographer retains the moral and intellectual property rights on their works submitted for the call. Each author grants the Exhibit Around and dotART association the non-exclusive right to use the winning / selected images to promote and/or advertise the association's non-profit activities, subject to official communication to the author (whose name will always be attributed to the 'Opera).
