As every year returns the TPD Digital Talks, an opportunity for all those who take part to get in touch with photographers of international fame, to follow the subjects they address and to interact with them.
In occasion of the Open Call 71% The State of Water, a water project, we decided this year to invite Kadir van Lohuizen, famous Dutch photographer, member of the group NOOR Images and particularly active on the environmental front.
Kadir has spent a large part of his career documenting social and environmental issues all over the world. During these years, he produced lots of photographic series about issues such as migration, climate change and global inequalities.
His last project, “After Us the Deluge”, is a photographic report on climate change’s consequences in different parts of the world. The photographic series documents the places that will be affected the most by floods and rising tides in the next future.
The photographic book gathers the images of the series together with a text that explains the contexts in which they were taken. The publication represents a call to action to tackle climate change and adopt sustainable practices in order to reduce the human footprint on the environment.
The Talk will be a live streaming on Zoom, that will take place on Wednesday, 12th April at 8 pm.
All participants of the call will be invited.
