On February 28th, we closed the submissions for the new original project by Exhibit Around: Short Street Stories, an ambitious tribute to Martin Parr and Nick Turpin‘s street photography.
We are enthusiastic about the success of the call: 530 authors from all over the world have submitted more than 2,800 photos and over 160 projects. We would like to thank all the participating photographers!
Given the amount of photos and the high quality, we expect a very full-bodied, unique project, that now enters the production phase. We plan to announce the officially selected photographers in the coming weeks. For now we can only confirm that the photos of Nick Turpin will open the volume. A great honor for us!
Short Street Stories will consist of a prestigious photographic volume that will be presented on Saturday, October 26, 2019 in Trieste Photo Days, in the presence of Martin Parr and Nick Turpin, two authors the project wants to pay homage to. The best photos will become part of a big international collective exhibition in the framework of Trieste Photo Days (soon we will announce the location). Of course, all of you are invited!
Short Street Stories follows the success of the first two original projects of Exhibit Around: Urban & Human Empathy (2017) and Flowing City (2018), which gathered respectively 49 and 69 photographers from around the world.
