We will meet in Palmanova for the second photographic release as part of the photographic open call PixAround FVG 2022.

The outing in Palmanova is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Palmanova in view of the “Palmanova Creativa” exhibition project, an international tribute to CREATIVITY in PHOTOGRAPHY on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of Palmanova as a UNESCO City.

The project will give life to an exhibition at the Polveriera Napoleonica (October 1st – November 15th) where a selection of the best photos taken in Palmanova for the PixAround FVG project will also be exhibited.

Furthermore, on Saturday 8 October, on the occasion of the celebrations for the anniversary of the foundation of Palmanova, there will be the presentation of the exhibition and the awarding of the Best Creative Photo on Palmanova selected by a jury composed of: Silvia Savi, Palmanova Councilor for Culture, Alvise Rampini, Director of the CRAF – Research and Archiving Center for Photography and a member of the Directors of the Circolo Palmarino.

The tour is open to all and is made with the precious support of the Palmarino Photographic Club which we thank for their availability and fundamental collaboration!

SCHEDULE:

• 9:30 am – Meeting in Piazza Grande, in front of the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer (for those arriving by car, we suggest looking for parking nearby, for example in the Via Scamozzi car park).
• 10:00 am – Dr. Silvia Savi, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Palmanova, and Dr. Gabriella Del Frate, head of the Culture and Tourism Office of the Municipality of Palmanova, will introduce us to the history and beauties of Palmanova.
  IMPORTANT TO PARTICIPATE because guidelines will be given for the creation of photos of the city in view of the exhibition at the Polveriera Napoleonica in October.
• 10:30 am – Departure to discover the photographic Palmanova Creativa:
  together with the Circolo Palmarino, from the Church of the Santissimo Redentore we will tour the most central points of the city, Piazza Grande, the Loggia della Gran Guardia and then move outside the Fortress, to the Bastions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where it will be possible to visit the Napoleonic lunettes, the moat and Roggia di Porta Udine.
  NOTE: photographers will still be free to explore other views independently and according to their own inspiration
• 1:00 pm – Meeting. It will be communicated.
• 1:30 pm – Group lunch at a restaurant at a special price.
• 2:30 pm / 3:00 pm – free afternoon shooting.
• 5:00 pm / 6:00 pm – Greetings and considerations on the day.
